Parents can rest easy in knowing that amid the dismembered body parts and Hannibal’s shared cannibalistic forays into fine French cuisine, that nowhere is there the sight of a cigarette, a cigar, a pipe, whiff of smoke on the breeze, a butt, an ashtray, or even, if I’m not mistaken, even a word or a “no-smoking” sign referencing such a thing.

It’s good that the children are shielded from such horrors and that they too can safely enjoy Hannibal (As well as Dexter, now that his sister no longer sneaks the occasional smoke. Dexter made up for its earlier crimes by now having smoking largely limited to gangs of pedophiles who live under bridges.)
